Who was Tombili?

Tombili, the iconic cat from Istanbul, became a symbol of peace and tranquility thanks to her signature "chill" pose. After her death in 2016, locals paid tribute to her with a statue at her favorite spot. However, the statue was stolen a month after its unveiling, sparking a huge outcry on social media and in the media. Fortunately, thanks to public pressure, the statue was returned to its place a few days later.
